Spark Plug Ignition Tester

Spark plug ignition tester is a tool used to detect the working condition of spark plugs, which can help determine whether the engine ignition system is normal.

The function and purpose of Spark plug ignition tester：

Ignition performance testing: Determine the normal ignition capability of the spark plug by observing the arc strength and continuity (.g., whether the spark is strong and stable).

Fault diagnosis: Assist in diagnosing whether engine misfires, starting difficulties, increased consumption, and other issues are caused by spark plug or ignition system faults.

Compatibility testing: Suitable for different types of spark plugs (such as nickel alloy, platinum, iridium, etc.).

Usage:

• Disconnect the spark plug from the high-tension wire and insert the spark plug into the tester.
• Connect the hightension wire, start the engine, and observe whether the spark is blue and continuous (a weak or missing spark indicates a fault).

Notes for Spark plug ignition tester：

Safety first: avoid direct contact with high-voltage parts during detection to prevent electric shock.

Environmental requirements: operate in a ventilated area to avoid sparks igniting flammable gases.

Comparison test: if the spark is weak, a new spark plug can be replaced for comparison to confirm whether it is a spark plug problem.

Spark plug spark detection instrument test result analysis:

Normal spark:

Bright blue electric arc, continuous without interruption.

Abnormal spark：

• Weak spark (red or yellow): Carbon deposits on the spark plug, improper gap or aging.
• No spark: The spark plug is completely damaged, high-voltage wire is open circuit or the ignition coil is faulty.
