A spark plug torque wrench is a specialized tool capable of preset and precise control of tightening torque, whose core value lies in preventing thread connection issues such as overtening (stripping, breakage) or undertightening (loosening, leakage).

As a spark plug manufacturer, we recommend that customers must use a spark plug torque wrench for installation.

• Using a torque wrench to install spark plugs is primarily beneficial because it completely eliminates the potential hazards of "installing by feel," ensuring the engine operates in a safe and efficient.
• If the specified torque is exceeded, it may lightly cause the threads to strip, or more severely, snap the ceramic insulator of the spark plug, and even directly damage the expensive head, resulting in very high repair costs.
• If the torque is insufficient, the spark plug cannot fit tightly against the cylinder head, leading to the leakage of high-temperature and high-pressure gas. This directly cause engine vibration and power loss, and the leaking gas may continuously "roast" the spark plug at high temperatures, causing its electrodes to melt.

A torque wrench ensures the spark plug electrodes are positioned at the correct depth in the combustion chamber, which is crucial for guaranteeing flame propagation patterns and ignition timing. Only when the torque meets the standard the seal be guaranteed, allowing the new spark plug to perform as intended and preventing issues such as unstable idling, poor acceleration, and even increased fuel consumption.
