2017 kx100 spark plug, recommended products: MCR9EIX\SIICR9E These are precious metal spark plugs, which are a good balance of performance and durability. The heat range is "9". The heat range means: The ability of the spark plug to heat from the center electrode to the cylinder head. The larger the number, the faster the spark plug dissipates heat, which is called a "cold type" spark plug; the the number, the slower the heat dissipation, which is called a "hot type" spark plug. Why "9" for the 2017 kx10 spark plug? The KX100 is a high-speed, high-compression ratio two-stroke racing engine that produces extremely high heat during operation. Using a coldtype spark plug like "9" can quickly dissipate the heat from the combustion chamber, preventing the spark plug electrode from melting due to overheating, avoiding "premature ignition"knocking), and thus protecting the engine. If you mistakenly use a spark plug with too low a heat range (such as "8" or "7") it is very easy to damage under aggressive driving.
Iridium characteristics:
- Extremely high melting point: It can withstand the high temperature environment of two-stroke engines, and is more resistant to burning and erosion.
- Extremely fine electrode: It can achieve a finer center electrode (the center electrode of BR9EIX is only 0.6mm), which the voltage required for ignition lower, and the spark stronger and more stable.
- Improved response: Stronger sparks and stable ignition performance help to improve throttle response, at high speeds.
- Longer life: Compared to ordinary nickel alloy electrodes, iridium electrodes have a much longer life.
